I was awake a lot last night thinking about making videos. I had a really nice video camera and last night I realized I took video in 2005/2006 when I got the camera, then in 2010 when Josiah was born. I didn't get video of my youngest daughter, Abigail, at all. I think my issue that whole time was, a) I had to go buy the dvd/rw mini dvds to take video with, and b) it was cumbersome to the get the videos onto the computer. But, still, it wasn't rocket science. I could have done it. Now I'm doing it because I'm working at getting the movies I did take (that I like) onto Youtube. Ho hum.
But, recently, I got an upgrade of my camera. I was planning on this for a long time. The new camera does quite a few new things my older one didn't. It takes low light photos better. It has live view. It takes video (really nice video). And, most importantly, it isn't plagued by c-mos dust like my old one was (even after getting it clean). After getting the camera, I realized I couldn't process the photos the way I like in Photoshop without upgrading. So, I had to do that. Then, I needed software for processing the video. I've got all that now, and I was playing around with it last night. I'm quite excited.
So, I lay awake a lot at night last night, being excited. And today, I'm in a grumpy mood...not related at all. Mostly, I'm tired of making food and tired of our family having food allergies. It's sooooo good we know what our food allergies are. Several of us were having major issues. But, it sucks. There I said it. No nuts in our house. No peanut butter. No wheat for several of us. No eggs for several people. Then, my one daughter is also allergic to several other things.
My sweet husband made me lunch that was interesting and made the others some sort of lunch, though. It was so sweet. It made me feel better.
I planted Arugula in my cold greenhouse today. And I turned up a little soil. It's been VERRRRYYY CHILLY for the last week, but I need to get moving along so, I'm not way behind when Spring really does happen. I really enjoy gardening, don't get me wrong. I look forward to it. I just hate the cold, especially when it's wet. And upper 30's or lower 40's and rainy is what it's been around here. Next week it's supposed to be in the mid fifties. That's a lot more doable (although I prefer 60+).
Here's a video I just edited of my baby boy when he was a baby. I love him now, but I miss that.
